Elections and electoral registration

The Vale's Elections Office is responsible for organising any election within the District, including Local, General and European elections.

Local elections in the Vale take place every four years with members voted onto the District Council. The next elections are due to take place in 2011. 

The Vale's Elections Team also maintains the Vale's Electoral Register, which voters need to be on in order to be entitled to vote in an election.
