The Vale Partnership
The Vale Partnership is a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) which was set up by the council to help it prepare the first community strategy for the Vale. A Local Strategic Partnership is a way of bringing together the public, private and voluntary sectors of a local authority district to work jointly to tackle issues and plan for the future.
The Vale Partnership Board normally meets quarterly and details of its projects and the minutes of previous meetings can be found on this page. The Community Places project is a priority for the Vale Partnership. The South Oxfordshire and Vale Partnerships are working together to help local communities tackle unique challenges facing three areas in the district; Berinsfield, Didcot and South Abingdon.
The Oxfordshire Partnership (OP) is the Local Strategic Partnership for Oxfordshire and has produced Oxfordshire 2030: the sustainable community strategy for Oxfordshire.
The partnerships want to support residents in developing and rolling out local action plans. These plans will concentrate on community self help initiatives but the partners have to know what support is required to establish these initiatives and keep them running.
The outcome of the Community Places project will be to build a transferable model to show how local strategic partnerships, with limited resources, can help to transform communities.
Here are the minutes from the latest partnership meetings. You can find the minutes from older meetings in the links on the right hand side of this page.
