Meeting everyone's needs

The council has a duty to provide services for everyone in the community and to promote good relations between different groups of people. This survey helped us collect suggestions about how we can do things differently to meet everyone’s needs.

What people told us

We received comments from 50 people including residents, councillors, representatives of organisations and members of the council’s disability and ethnicity panels. This complements workshops with people with disabilities and from ethnic minority backgrounds who have volunteered to help us to look at services in detail and identify improvements.

What happens next?

We are working with individual service areas, such as leisure and waste, to look in detail at all the suggestions made. We are sharing suggestions you made about services provided by Oxfordshire County Council, Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust and the Police with those organisations.

The comments will also help inform the council’s equalities objectives and an action plan about what we need to do differently to meet the needs of all our communities.

If you would like to check on the progress of a particular suggestion please contact the Consultation Officer. Thank you again to those of you who took part.
