Adverse weather conditions affect grass cutting

We have received a number of calls from residents concerning the length of grass in some areas that the district council looks after. 

Due to the prolonged and heavy rainfall recently, the council’s grounds maintenance contractor has struggled to keep to its grass cutting schedule this summer.

The contractor is working hard to get back on schedule and has brought in additional labour to help. We anticipate that if weather conditions improve as they are forecast to, they will be back up to speed soon and we ask our residents to bear with us until this time.
