Hardship relief for businesses

The council can reduce the amount of Business Rates owing where it is satisfied that:

a) the ratepayer would sustain hardship if it did not do so; and

b) it is reasonable for the council to do so, having regard to the interests of persons subject to its Council Tax.

Please note, the council only exercises this discretion in exceptional circumstances.
