Taxi licences - private hire vehicle operator licences

Any person wishing to operate private hire vehicles within the Vale of White Horse District must apply to the Council for a licence under the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

To apply for a licence, download and complete the application form on the right of this page. This form, together with the relevant non-refundable fee should be brought to Abingdon Local Service Point. You will also be required to have a basic criminal records check completed and provide proof of your right to work in the UK e.g. a passport.
