The Embrace Partnership

The EMBRACE partnership formed in 2005 to help its public sector member's work together to address racial harassment and promote community cohesion within southern Oxfordshire.  The partnership has since disbanded in its original form in light of; the resource implications for supporting the partnership and the progress that has been made in advancing equality of opportunity for people from ethnic minority backgrounds.

In light of the achievements and the reduction in resources available to the partnership, Embrace will meet on an as needs basis, and South Oxfordshire District Council and the Vale of White Horse District Council will maintain the ethnicity panel and the quarterly key messages sheet. You can view or download the review of the partnership here. (57.7 KB) PDF

The ethnicity panel

If you're from an ethnic minority background and want to play an important part in the decisions made in your area, why not join the ethnicity panel?  By volunteering to be a member of the panel, you will have the chance to tell us what you think about local services (including council services) on a regular basis.  Please contact us (see contact details on this page).
