£50 discount for loft and cavity wall insulation
You can get £50 each off the cost of loft and cavity wall insulation if you own or rent a home in the Vale of White Horse. The discount is funded by a grant from the council. The offer is available to homeowners and private renting tenants. Tenants must seek permission from their landlord first. Free insulation if you are aged 70 or over
If you are aged 70 or over you may be able to get free cavity wall insulation. Loft insulation is free too where the existing insulation is no deeper than 2.5 inches (60mm). The offer is available to homeowners and private renting tenants. Tenants must seek permission from their landlord. The cost of the work will be met by a grant paid on your behalf by the energy utility companies. The same offer is available to residents who receive certain benefits.
