Support available for electors with disabilities and special requirements
There is information available for electors with any disability, their families and support workers to help them with understanding what voting is, why it is important and how they can register to vote.
Below is a selection of useful links which can help with this:
All our polling station staff are trained to assist any elector who requires help to cast their vote in private and ensure that there are no barriers to voting for anyone – please just speak to the presiding officer and they will be happy to talk you through the voting process and provide equipment that may help you.
We also have accessible booths, tactile voting devices, magnifying glasses and large print ballot papers available at every polling station.
Our Elections team are happy to provide further advice as well as documentation in alternative formats upon request. Please contact us using the contact details on this page.
