Voting by post
Anyone on the register of electors can apply to vote by post without having a reason for doing so. All you need to do is fill in a postal vote form. You can choose when you apply whether you want a postal vote for a single election, for a specified period or indefinitely.
You can apply for a postal vote at any time until 5pm, 11 working days before an election provided you do not already have any absent voting arrangements in place.
The deadline for making changes to, or cancelling, existing arrangements is also 11 working days before an election.
