Be a Sporting Hero by becoming a Sport Maker

Sport Makers are, quite simply, people who make sport happen.  Whether it's planning a route, finding the pitch or encouraging people to take part - it needs people to make it happen.  Becoming a Sport Maker and get the skills, knowledge and opportunities you need to be one of those people.  Whatever your passion, we're looking for people who can motivate their friends or colleagues to get active and play sport or who can support other people providing sporting opportunities.

Sports Maker is part of Sport England's mass participation legacy programme and is being co-ordinated in Oxfordshire by the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership.  Your first step to becoming a Sport Maker is to come to an inspirational workshop or convention, which are running up to the Olympics in 2012, where you will be supported with advice, information and resources and you'll also get some free Adidas polo shirt and bag.

You need to be able to complete at least 10 hours of activity and to log your hours in a journal so we can see the difference you're making.  By logging what you've done you'll also be entered to win some fantastic prizes.

To find out more and to sign up go to www.oxfordshiresport.org/sportmakers.
