Description
1. Replace 12 existing sash windows with like-for-like new except that material for new windows to be European Oak replacing softwood.
2. Replace 4 existing sliding (sideways opening) "Oxford" sash windows in attic dormers with like-for-like as above.
3. Contruct two new dormer windows in attic replicating existing dormer windows as above except that they will be casement not sash.
4. Raise level of existing roof "valley" in attic in order to give better access in attic and to replace existing perished timbers in that area.
5. Replace existing water tanks with new lagged tanks at higher level in attic roof.
6. as part of 4 above rebuild existing drain from inner roof valley.
7. Build new staircase first floor to attic replicating general features of existing ground-floor to first floor staircase.
8. Alter line of interior wall between new bathroom and hall on first floor.
9. Alter line of interior wall between Bedroom 1 and existing bathroom on first floor.
10. Make opening in existing wall between dining room and hallway on ground floor with new supporting beams over new arched opening.
11. Build new interior supporting wall in cellar under new opening.
