Waste collections normally start at 6am.

Household rubbish can only be collected if bin lids are fully closed – find out why and what to do if you have excess waste or recycling.

  • We collect your food waste every week in the green food bin.
  • We collect recycling and non-recyclables fortnightly – recycling from your green wheelie bin one week, non-recyclables from your black wheelie bin the next.
  • We also collect garden waste. This is an paid-for optional service.  It is usually collected in the same week as your recycling unless we advise otherwise.

Sack properties

There are a small number of properties that are unsuitable for our wheelie bins and those residents can apply to use sacks instead – find more information on our sack households page.
