Volunteering with the council

We recently published (Spetember 2026) our Volunteer Handbook for anyone volunteering with our service teams, whether it’s as an usher at Cornerstone Arts Centre or supporting the Active Communities Team.

The handbook includes details about who we are, how we support you with training for the role, our health and safety and safeguarding guidance, how we look after your data and more.

The privacy notice for our handbook can be found on our privacy notices webpage.
