We are committed to bringing empty properties back into use.

With increasing demand for housing and growing social housing waiting lists, making better use of existing homes is more important than ever. Bringing empty properties back into occupation can help increase the supply of housing available locally and support efforts to address the shortage of homes.

We work in accordance with our Empty Homes Policy, supporting owners of both short and long-term empty properties to bring them back into use. We work closely with property owners to encourage the reoccupation of empty homes wherever possible.
