The Community Support team is available from:
The team can help support you with food, medicine and friendly phone calls during the pandemic and they’ll be able to put you in touch with other community and volunteer groups or services. In the most urgent cases, the team will be able to support you with food and prescription deliveries.
We recommend you contact us by phone if you’re in urgent need but if you need general advice, you can contact the team via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a family struggling to access food during half term, please do contact our Community Hub team. You can also find out which other organisations are offering help in our Community Food Support download
There are lots of volunteer groups in our district that may be able to provide you with extra support. You can visit Oxfordshire All In to find out who your local volunteer group is.
The NHS volunteer responders can help anyone who needs to self-isolate by collecting shopping, medicines and other important items, contacting you for regular friendly phone calls and getting you to medical appointments by giving lifts. You can contact them via their website or call 0808 196 3646 (8am to 8pm, 7 days a week).
Local food banks may be able to help you if you’re finding it a challenge to afford a weekly shop. Head to the Oxfordshire Food Services map to contact your local food bank.
The government’s shielding programme for people most at risk from the virus is currently paused – you can find more about this on the government’s website. We might still be able to help you, so please do call us if you need some support.
If you’re having any money worries, including if you’re struggling to pay council tax or any other bills, please see our coronavirus financial guidance page.
