Description
Alterations / refurbishment of the existing barn doors to allow them to be held open in a fixed position with new glazed doors and side panels set back in the reveal. The existing door and windows facing onto Stow Hill are to be refurbished. The existing stone floor is to be to covered with a membrane and timber joists with rigid insulation in the voids and stained tongued and grooved board finish. New timber frame / plasterboard cupboards will be built to hide the existing boiler and washing machine. The voids between the vertical timber framing to be partially filled with tongued and groove wood fibreboard, vapour permeable and hygroscopic insulation within the frame and a vapour permeable finish of lime or clay plaster. A wood burning stove and flue to be provided in the south-east corner of the former wheelwright workshop area of the barn.
