Repair to the west elevation comprising the following actions:
Removal of existing clay peg tiles and ridge tiles, retaining usable tiles
Removal of existing battens
Installation of roofing membrane
Installation of new treated pine battens
Re-installation of retained tiles and reclaimed matching tiles to replace breakages, using aluminium pegs.
Installation of a strong hydraulic lime mortar around the chimney, replacing existing cement flashing and using steel lath on chimney as required to support flashing.
Re-pointing of chimney using matching mortar and re-laying of the top two layers of bricks, using matching replacement bricks where required. (Use of cement mortar changed to lime mortar as agreed in writing by the applicant on 24/09/21).
