Description
Eucalyptus Tree near garage annexe: When we bought Rose Cottage last year, we received approval from the council to do some work on this tree because one of its limbs was already dangerously close to our annexe roof. We target-pruned that branch. However, after we received council approval to do further work on some other trees in this part of the garden, our neighbours at Amhurst (the property behind us) brought to our attention that this tree needs to be attended to as well. They report that, as it is a eucalyptus, it has grown very quickly over the past few years, and as it is placed right against the retaining wall between our two properties, its root system is quite unstable and it has become top-heavy. As it is situated quite close to Amhurst's annexe, and is very close to ours as well, we have all agreed it would be best to seek approval to fell this tree before further growth and strong winds make it a danger to both of our properties. Apologies for not including this tree in our previous application, but we hadn't fully realised the rate at which it was growing and the risk it posed to our properties. In sum, we seek to fell this eucalyptus.
