If you are hard of hearing, the RNID typetalk emergency number 18000.

The council's emergency helpline

The council's emergency helpline on 01235 422420 is available after office hours to assist with serious noise problems, to report a dangerous structure, flooding, a dead animal on the highway or a homeless issue. We can also collect stray dogs out of hours.

Health advice

For immediate and confidential health advice/information call NHS 111 NHS This link will take you to an external website... 111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. all 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency.

Floods

For 24 hour advice/information on flooding and flood warnings call Floodline Environment Agency This link will take you to an external website... on  0845 988 1188. See our flooding page for further information.

Pollution

To report environmental pollution incidents call the Environment Agency Environment Agency This link will take you to an external website...  on 0800 807 060. For further information on pollution, go to our air pollution pages.

Gas

To report a gas leak either in the house or street call the National Grid on 0800 111 999.

If you are facing eviction and homelessness, you can find information and advice in the housing section.

Domestic violence
