Proposed reservoir - Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Report

When Thames Water submits the planning application for the proposed Reservoir in 2010, it will need to be accompanied by an Environmental Statement prepared in accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations. The EIA Scoping Report, which can be downloaded by section below, relates to a request by Thames Water for a Scoping Opinion to assess the scope and methodology of the Environmental Statement. It is important to emphasise that it is not the Environmental Statement itself. The Environmental Statement will accompany the planning application.

The Scoping Report has been the subject of wide consultation with statutory bodies, other local authorities and interest groups. This report and all of the consultation replies have been carefully considered and a Scoping Opinion has been adopted by the Council which outlines all of the environmental impacts which the Environmental Statement will need to assess. The Council's adopted Scoping Opinion and a summary of representations received can be downloaded from the right of the page.
