Need help with a community litter pick?

Many residents and local groups who take pride in their local environment support the council's work and help keep their area litter free.

To help these groups we can provide litter picking equipment that people can borrow throughout the year. Litter picking equipment includes: litter pickers, high visibility vests, gloves and refuse sacks.

The equipment kits are free to borrow, and include safety vests and gloves, litter picking sticks and separate bags to collect rubbish and recycling so we can ensure as much litter as possible is recycled rather than sent to landfill.

Anyone can borrow the kits, from a small group of friends or neighbours to clubs, schools or voluntary groups.

At certain times of the year the equipment is in great demand, so before setting your date for your litter pick, please contact Biffa to make sure the equipment is available for you.

The council will collect bags of rubbish at pre-arranged points.

Unfortunately, we have no influence over the weather, but wish you well in helping to keeping your community tidy.
