Planning Application Register

We're currently predicting a fortnight's delay in deciding planning applications.  When our systems went down due to the fire, some planning applications were at the stage where we were accepting comments.  We are extending the deadline for those comments by eight days.  This was the length of time our systems were down.

It will take our planning officers a few weeks to get back up to speed with the applications, so please hold off ringing about your application until the end of next week unless it’s urgent.

All planning applications and comments we received either by post or online on Tuesday 13 January and after were definitely lost in the fire.  Please resend your application or comment.  It will help us deal with these more quickly if you write "Possible duplicate" clearly on the application or comment you're resending.

How you can search for a planning application

View current planning applications via the Planning Application Register

You can search for planning applications in several ways:

If you have a specific planning application reference number, please use the search box near the top of this page on the right hand side or tap the search icon at the top if you're on a mobile.  Please ensure you type the reference number in correctly, including all punctuation.  This search box can also be used with specific information such as agent or applicant name.

Comment on a planning application

You can comment on a planning application using our online form, once the consultation period on an application has opened.  You'll find the link to the comments form in the application's information page.

Other planning registers

For applications we have already decided, go to the Planning Decision Register.

You can also search for planning appeals via the Planning Appeals Register.

If you would like to report a development which you don't think has planning permission please see our Report an Unauthorised Development page.
