Access to Leisure pass
The council offers an Access to Leisure pass for people who receive certain benefits and who live in the Vale. There is no cost attached to the pass, which offers all eligible residents an approximate 30 per cent discount from the published fees and charges during off peak time.
The pass operates at the following five Council owned leisure centres:
- Faringdon Leisure Centre , Fernham Road - 01367 241755
- Wantage Leisure Centre , Portway - 01235 766201
- The White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre , Audlett Drive, Abingdon - 01235 540700
- Tilsley Park, Dunmore Road , Abingdon - 01235 524524
- Abbey Meadows Outdoor Swimming Pool (seasonal facility May - September), Abbey Close, Abingdon
The discount applies to the following activities:
- Casual swimming
- Badminton
- Casual gym
- Squash
- Snooker (Wantage Leisure Centre only)
- Track use (Tilsley Park only).
You are eligible to apply for a pass if you receive any of the following benefits:
- Income based (and/or) job seekers allowance
- Housing benefits/Council tax benefits
- Income support
- Registered disabled
- Incapacity benefit
- Disability living allowance
- Widow's pension.
Please note this pass cannot be used in conjunction with another type of membership.
