The Charter multi-storey car park is located in the centre of town, with access off Stert Street. This is the closest car park for all the town centre's shops and services.

This car park is chargeable Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays) from 8am until 6pm.  A valid ticket must be displayed at all times during the charging period - including for the free two hours.

Please note that levels 3 and above are locked at 7.30pm Mon-Sat and are not re-opened until 7am the following morning (except Sundays when it remains locked). If your vehicle is locked in and you require to release the vehicle there is a release fee of £50.

Parent and child spaces are available on level four, which has easy access to the lift.

Disabled badge holders can park free of charge (unlimited time limit), providing they display their badge.  If all disabled spaces are full then a standard bay may be used.

There is a height restriction in this car park of 1.9M (6'4")

- up to six hours: £4.30

- over six hours: £5.30
