Safe Places

The Safe Places Logo

The safe places scheme supports our residents to remain safe and independent in the community. Anyone who feels vulnerable or distressed can easily identify a safe place by the recognisable logo, and seek safety and assistance within.

Users of the scheme can be of any age – Young or elderly, they may have dementia, a learning disability, autism or mental health needs. They may simply be vulnerable at that moment in time – The scheme is for everyone.

Individuals can also carry a card with emergency contact details. Cards can be picked up at participating locations, or you can contact us.

Interested in becoming a safe place?

If you are a business with more than one staff member of staff, and would like to know more about how you can become a safe place in your community, please get in touch at communitysafety@southandvale.gov.uk. We look forward to hearing from you!
