Our waste collections are running normally. If we’re experiencing a small amount of disruption to some of our waste collection services we will keep you up to date via our social media sites.
Parking charges were re-introduced in district council car parks from Monday 8 June – you must display a ticket or have a valid online or text payment confirmation. NHS and care staff are able to park for free with a valid Covid-19 pass. Find out more on our car parks pages.
Our District Community Centre is now open and available for hire. Please note priority bookings are being given for groups supporting the Covid-19 response.
The Beacon is being used as a symptom-free testing centre for public-facing workers and volunteers who are not displaying Covid-19 symptoms.
Our play areas are open – visitors are being asked to follow some simple instructions to help prevent transmitting the virus.
Outdoor gyms are now available to use again under Covid-19 guidelines.

In view of the current situation with Covid-19, the licensing team are prioritising renewal applications for taxi drivers and will not be conducting new driver licence appointments and knowledge tests until further notice. All drivers who had appointments booked have been contacted and their applications will be processed remotely where possible. For more information head to our taxi licensing webpage.
The Community Hub team are available for people struggling to access support, or essentials like food or prescriptions during lockdown.
