European Union Referendum – 23 June 2016

The result for South Oxfordshire:

  • Remain: 46,245
  • Leave: 37,865
  • Spoiled: 57 

The turnout was 80.8 per cent

Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner Election – 6 May 2016

Conservative candidate Anthony Stansfeld was re-elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Thames Valley.

The count went to a second round as no candidate received more than 50 per cent of the first preference vote. After second preferences were counted, Stansfeld won with 54 per cent of the final votes. Laetisia Carter was in second place with 46 per cent.

Around 430,000 votes were cast in the election.  The turnout was 25.6 per cent.
