We are part of an Oxfordshire county-wide project called GO Active, Get Healthy – Diabetes which works with people who live with Type 2 diabetes. The project is supported by the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and it is designed to support people living with diabetes in managing their condition and improving their fitness, health and wellbeing.
We run sessions through our Active Communities team for people with type 2 diabetes as being active is a great way to manage blood glucose levels, blood pressure and cholesterol are kept within target ranges. Keeping active can also help you with weight management and prevent or delay common complications which are often associated with diabetes.
If you, or someone you know would benefit from being involved in this project, or to find out more please contact us on the details below or visit Get Oxfordshire Active for more information
We are following the governments roadmap and will resume our activities under Covid safe guidelines from the 12 April.
