Ashbury Neighbourhood Plan

Ashbury Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine future planning applications.

What’s happening now?

The publicity period on the draft Ashbury neighbourhood plan concluded on 28 February 2019. The draft plan documents and comments received during the publicity period (338.4 KB) PDF have now been submitted for independent examination.

Andrew Ashcroft has been appointed by the district council to carry out the examination. The examiner's role is to make recommendations on the draft plan, and ultimately if the plan should proceed to referendum.

On 12 March 2019 the examiner provided a Clarification Note. You can view this note here. (66.9 KB) PDF
