Ashbury Neighbourhood Plan

Ashbury Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine future planning applications.

What’s happening now?

Following the independent examination of the plan, the district council has agreed that the plan should now proceed to referendum.  The referendum will take place on Thursday 4 July 2019.

To vote you must be registered to vote in local elections by Tuesday 18 June 2019 and live in the referendum area.  Make sure you Register to Vote if you haven't already.

If you want to vote by post, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Office to arrive by Wednesday 19 June 2019 at the address below or email to elections@southandvale.gov.uk. More information is available from http://www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/elections

If you can't get to the polling station and do not wish to vote by post, you may be able to vote by proxy.  If you wish to vote by proxy, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Office to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2019 at the address below or email to elections@southandvale.gov.uk.  More information is available from http://www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/elections

If residents vote to adopt the neighbourhood plan it will then become part of the development plan.
