Abbey Gardens

Abbey Gardens are near Abingdon town centre at the end of Abbey Close. The park’s postcode is OX14 3JE.

Abbey Gardens Leaflet

The gardens are designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument as Abingdon Abbey, which dates back to the seventh century, once stood on the site.

Abbey Meadow

Abbey Meadow is next to Abbey Gardens at the end of Abbey Close. It has a play area open all year round.

Abbey Meadow splash pad is now open for the summer season and will be turned off in September.

Abbey Meadow outdoor pool is now open on a weather dependent basis (please check website for timings) and will be open every day for the full summer season from 18 July over the school summer holidays, which is its busiest and most popular time. GLL manage the outdoor pool and splash park on behalf of the Council. When they are open if you have any queries regarding the interactive water feature please call 01235 529321 or the Leisure team at the council on 01235 422240.

Please note, the pool, play area and interactive water feature are dog-free areas.
