Minor variations to premises licences
You can apply to make minor variations to your premises licence such as:
- small changes to premises layouts or structures
- reduce the licensing hours
- move the hours for alcohol sales within 7am and 11pm
- removal of out of date, irrelevant or unenforceable conditions
- add conditions
- add licensable activities – only regulated entertainment and late night refreshment can be added
Making a minor variation to a licence costs £89.
Please check our applicant and licence holder guidance before you submit the application to ensure it meets the criteria and for full details of how to advertise the application. It is advised that you submit a draft copy of your application to the licensing team before making a formal application.
How to apply for a minor variation
Alternatively, please email the form and any supporting documents to email@example.com. We will contact you by telephone to collect payment. Please note that the application is not complete until payment has been taken.
For online/email applications, the premises licence can be returned by post (please ensure the premises keeps a copy of the licence at the site).
If you do not have access to email, you can post your application form with the fee and current licence to Licensing Team, Vale of White Horse District Council at the below address.
You must display a notice of the application at the premises for 10 working days starting from the day after you submitted the application.
Once we have received your application form, responsible authorities and interested parties then have ten days to submit their comments.
Minor variations are determined by our licensing officers. We aim to process your application within five days of the end of the consultation period.
If we reject your application for a minor variation, you can choose to submit an application for a full variation instead.
