Taking part in a meeting
We are currently conducting council committee meetings face-to-face in line with Government requirements and we also broadcast them online via video conferencing.
You can take part in a council meeting by making a statement or asking a question. To do so, you need to register to speak at the meeting by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12noon on the working day before the meeting.
You will then receive an email confirming the meeting details and instructions on how you can make your statement or ask your question. Members of the public can participate in person, remotely via Microsoft Teams or via a written statement.
Where possible, we encourage people to attend meetings virtually to help reduce private car journeys to the council offices.
If you do wish to attend a meeting in person, you are advised to bring a laptop / smartphone and headset with you so can watch and hear the contributions being made by those taking part online via Teams. Please note, if you do not have this with you then you may not be able to hear the meeting in full.
To find out when meetings are taking place and for links to meeting agendas, please see our Calendar of Meetings.
