Joint Local Plan 2045 (JLP2)

We have started to prepare a new Joint Local Plan for South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse. This will be our second joint local plan, it will cover the period up to 2045 and we will refer to it as JLP2.

On 19 June 2026 we published our notice of intention to commence Joint Local Plan 2045 preparation and our timetable which sets out the plan-making milestones.   

Work on our first Joint Local Plan 2041 (JLP1) is continuing, please visit our Joint Local Plan 2041 ‘Latest News’ page for further details, as this webpage relates to the preparation of a new Joint Local Plan 2045 (JLP2).

Open Data

We are also required to publish a dataset for the plan itself. To comply with the government’s tabular data standard, we have provided this in CSV format. The information provided in the CSV file is being provided to government under the Open Government Licence.
