Western Valley Neighbourhood Plan

Western Valley Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan to influence the way their area grows and develops into the future.

What’s happening now?

Vale of White Horse district council designated the Western Valley Neighbourhood Area on 1 October 2025. The original application sought designation of the entire parish area. However, due to a mapping error, a small section of the parish was omitted in the designated neighbourhood area.

The district council therefore undertook a six-week publicity period on a proposal to redesignate the neighbourhood area to include the omitted section, which concluded on 4 August 2026. You can view a map showing the current and proposed designated neighbourhood area boundary.

More information on the process is available on our Neighbourhood Planning Resources page.
