Housing Supply Statement

Our housing land supply statements consider whether we have enough land available in the district to be able to provide five years’ worth of housing. We regularly publish a statement that explains our current land supply. The Council has updated its five year housing land supply position as of 1 April 2024, published in our January 2025 statement. This updates the housing requirement of our December 2024 statement to account for the new National Planning Policy Framework published in December 2024.

The District has a supply of 5.81 years.

You can download the five year housing land supply statement here:

The Council has also published a housing land supply statement in support of its emerging Joint Local Plan. That statement measures the housing supply against the emerging housing requirement in the Joint Local Plan.  You can find that statement on our local plan examination library webpage.
