Car parking
The council is responsible for public off street car parks and offers a range of long and short stay parking facilities in Abingdon, Wantage, Faringdon and Botley to meet the needs of people shopping, visiting or working in the area.
The new Vale of White Horse District Council car parking policy, which includes a period of two hours free parking anytime between 8am and 6pm, started on Friday 9 December. Under the new arrangements the charging period will change to between 8am and 6pm. During this time people wishing to park will need to display a valid ticket, including during the free two hour period.
The new parking order also includes changes to the cost of standard parking fees and longer term parking permits. Information about the new fees can be found under the individual car parks and all changes to parking arrangements will be clearly displayed in all car parks from the 9th, including notices warning drivers that they must display a ticket during the charging period.
These pages give details of all our car parks as well as well as information about parking permits and parking fines. For any other queries please contact the council's Car Park Section using the contact details on the right. Outside office hours please leave a message, or telephone the emergency telephone numbers advertised in each car park.
