East Hanney Neighbourhood Plan
East Hanney Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan to influence the way their area grows and develops into the future.
What’s happening now?
On 11 April residents voted for the adoption of the Sutton Courtenay Neighbourhood Plan. The official results were:
- Votes in favour of adopting the Neighbourhood Plan: 186
- Votes against adopting the Neighbourhood Plan: 14
- Turnout: 19.4%

Section 3 of the Neighbourhood Planning Act 2017 (as amended) gives neighbourhood plans full legal effect once they have passed their local referendum.
The neighbourhood plan will be presented to Vale of White Horse District Council where the decision will be taken on whether the plan should be made and continue to be part of the development plan.
