Barrow Hills BMX Track

In December last year, we had to temporarily close Barrows Hill BMX pump track after regular inspections showed a deterioration of the track surface and signs of misuse.

A further inspection by health and safety, OxTrails and officers revealed that reluctantly we will have to keep the pump track closed for the foreseeable future as it is too dangerous to keep open.

The inspection also revealed short-term patching would not be a cost effective remedy.

In light of this news, officers are exploring different funding options, including developer contributions and grants, to fully redevelop the BMX track.

This is unfortunately likely to be a long term project as a result, and in the meantime we ask that all residents do not try to enter the site for their own safety and wellbeing. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
