A friendly community space supporting wellbeing, skills sharing and practical projects in Abingdon.
What is Shed Space?
Shed Space is a community-led initiative that brings people together to make, repair and restore items while building confidence, friendships and practical skills. Sessions are relaxed, informal and open to everyone.

How Shed Space supports council priorities
- Improves mental health and wellbeing
- Reduces loneliness and social isolation
- Encourages volunteering and skills development
- Supports sustainability and reuse
- Provides free or low-cost community activity
This initiative supports local wellbeing, community resilience and environmental sustainability goals.
When & Where
- When: Fortnightly, Tuesday evenings
- Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
- Starting: Tuesday 10 February 2026
- Where: Shed Space, Ferry Walk, Abingdon, OX14 5HR

What happens at a session?
- Work on shared or personal projects
- Learn from others and share skills
- Repair and restore everyday items
- Enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
- Help shape future activities
No experience needed. You can drop in, stay for a short while, or stay for the full session.
