Pet shop licences

Anybody selling pets as a business will be classified as a pet shop.  Nobody should sell pets at a market or to children under 12 years of age.  At least one person - for example the owner of the business - must be suitably qualified. The annual licence will list which animals may be sold and the licence must be displayed in the shop.        

A licence for a new business will not be issued until the premises have been inspected by the Council, and will need to be revisited when stocked.
