Radiation

Radiation is a general term used to describe the emission or the transfer of energy, as waves or particles, through the air or other substances. Not all radiation is harmful, and whether or not it is harmful depends on the type of radiation in question and how much you are exposed to. Everyday within the UK various natural and man made radiation types are used in a diverse range of industrial, medical, research and communications applications.
