Park Homes Grant
Applicants should be aware that grant conditions are subject to change and the Council can only provide grants on the basis of current grant conditions. Grants are available subject to budget. The grants budget is prioritised to allow mandatory grants to be given preference over discretionary grants.
What is the Park Homes Grant?
- A grant of up to £750 is to assist park homeowners* in receipt of certain benefits over the age of 60, with a child under the age of 16 or those with a disability with minor repairs or complying with site license conditions.
*If you are a homeowner there is a similar grant you can apply for called the Repairs Grant.
- An applicant must have a legal obligation to carry out the work. The works should not have an alternative remedy for example insurance or defect caused by another owner. No more than two grants will be approved within a three-year period. There shall be a six month space between grants being approved.
Who is eligible?
- To be eligible for the Park Homes Grant you must meet the same criteria set out for the Government’s Warm Front Grant - for details see Grants and discounts for heating
- A three year residency period will be required for all applicants. The grant is not repayable
- Normally, any works would be carried out by Anchor Staying Put home improvement agency. In certain circumstances residents would be able to organise the works themselves
- The grant will only be offered if there are no alternative sources of funding available
- All owner-occupiers must provide proof of ownership of the property, and tenants must complete a Tenant’s Certificate.
