Supported housing accommodation for young people

The Abingdon Foyer is a scheme for young people up to the age of 25 to live independently and at the same time obtain a qualification or secure employment. In order to access the Foyer, applicants need to demonstrate their commitment to pursuing an agreed personal development plan with Foyer staff which will cover education, training and employment. Referrals can be made directly or through the Housing Advice Team.

The Gateway Project provides housing with support to vulnerable young people aged between16-25. The project helps young people learn about independent living, life skills such as budgeting, cooking and money management. Referrals are made through the Housing Advice Team.

Windmill House is supported accommodation for those whose lives are very chaotic and who need supporting to be able to live independently and sustain a tenancy. Referrals can be made directly or through the Housing Advice Team.

Supported lodgings for young people, 0845 6036927

Supported Lodgings is a scheme set up to provide housing for homeless young people within people’s homes. It is run by BYHP, which provides a wide range of services specifically designed to help young people. If you are aged between 16-25 and need somewhere immediately you can contact The Bridge in Oxford for a bed for the night. They are open from 9pm – 8.30am and it is best to get their early or telephone them first as it fills up very quickly and unfortunately, you will be turned away if there are no vacancies. This accommodation is very basic and you may have to share a room.
