How to bid for a property

Once accepted onto the Housing Register, applicants can bid for properties in the following ways:

• Via the Choice Based Lettings website
• By visiting the Council offices where staff can bid for you - for maps showing where these offices are please see How to find our offices
• By completing and posting a bidding coupon, which are available from the Council Offices
• By calling the bidding line on 0800 0288905. 

How do I find out what properties are available?

Details of all the available properties are available in a newsletter, which is available from:

• Council offices - for maps showing where these offices are please see How to find our offices
• The Choice Based Lettings website

The newsletter is published fortnightly. It is available on a Wednesday morning. People have until 12noon on the Tuesday two weeks later to place a bid either using the bidding line, sending in a bidding coupon or bidding in person at our offices.
