Abbey Meadows, Abingdon

The Abbey Meadows is a delightful park located at the end of Abbey Close in Abingdon, which has the River Thames forming the southern boundary. 

Access can be made by car via Abbey Close or by river tying up at the moorings site. A pay and display car park is available directly adjacent to the park. Access by foot can be made through the historical Abbey Grounds, which is situated at the rear of the Council offices, along Abbey Close or from Audlett Drive, through Crab Tree Place. There are also very good cycle links with the Sustrans Cycle Route running through the park. 

During the summer you can enjoy a number of outdoor activities including: 

• A nine-hole pitch and putt course  
• Crazy golf course 
• Putting green  
• Hard surface tennis courts.

The pitch and putt, crazy golf, and putting facilities is now closed for the season.

Winter tennis court use 2009/2010

To allow members of the public to use the tennis courts when the facilities are closed a key can be purchased allowing access to the courts during daylight hours. The key will be valid for use from 1 October 2009 to 31 March 2010.

The key can be purchased from the Local Services Points at the Council offices on Abbey Close during opening hours. For maps showing where the Council's offices are please see How to find our offices. 

No matter which day of the month the key is purchased the same cost is applicable for the whole of the month.
