Sports areas and moorings

Sports areas 

Tennis courts, maintained by the Vale’s Parks Unit, are available for the general public to book and use at Abbey Meadow, Abingdon and Manor Road, Wantage. For more details please see our pages on Abbey Meadows Park or Manor Road Memorial Park. 

Two football pitches without changing facilities are provided by the Parks Unit department free of charge at Barrow Hills, and Long Furlong, both in Abingdon. To book these pitches please contact the Parks Unit using the contact details on the right.

Moorings 

The Council has moorings at the following sites in Abingdon:

• Hales Meadow   
• Rye Farm Meadow   
• Wilsham Road   
• Abbey Meadows 

These moorings are free and the maximum stay is five consecutive days.
