National Cycle Network
The Hanson Way runs from Reading through Didcot, Abingdon and Oxford on its route to Birmingham and on to Chester and the North Wales Coast. For more information visit the Sustrans website, which co-ordinates the National Cycle Network, or download the leaflet from the right of the page.
The Didcot to Wantage and The Ridgeway is an 11 mile route on quiet roads, byways and purpose-built paths from Wantage to Didcot via the Icknield Way with links to The Ridgeway National Trail and the Berkshire Downs. The Ridgeway National Trail
Britain's oldest road covering a total distance of 85 miles, 137 km from Overton Hill to Ivinghoe Beacon. A long distance trail, much of which follows the ancient chalk ridge used by prehistoric man. The Vale of White Horse section of the Ridgeway is steeped in history with Iron Age forts and Bronze Age burial chambers. For more information see the National Trails website or call 01865 810224.
