Proposals for the Didcot area

Here is a summary of the main proposals for the Didcot area. A map detailing these proposed sites can be downloaded from the right of the page.

Housing: 2,300 homes to the west of Didcot, between the A4130 and the B4493 Wantage Road, in addition to those already planned at Great Western Park. This site would be in Harwell parish and homes would be in walking distance of schools, shops and community buildings planned as part of the Great Western Park development.

Transport: A new road running beside the A34 linking the A4130 with the A417 would relieve congestion at the A34 Milton Interchange and through Harwell village.

Jobs: The continued development of Milton Park and the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus could provide about 12,000 new jobs.
