Proposals for the rural areas of the Vale

Here is a summary of the main proposals for the rural areas of the Vale.

Housing: The aim is for small scale schemes which will provide affordable housing including up to 15 new homes within built up areas of the larger villages and five new homes in built up areas in smaller villages. Specialist accommodation for the elderly including community facilities will also be explored.

Transport: The need for improvements will be highlighted in particular for a Marcham bypass along the A415; improvements to the junction of the A338 and the A415 at Frilford; the A338 north of Grove, to the A417 east of Wantage and to mitigate the increased traffic through villages including Marcham, Steventon, Drayton, Sutton Courtenay and Appleford.
